Important ExtraCare Reminder

So my friend asked why my dog was walking around with a sock in his mouth all day. I told her I honestly have no idea where he even finds them. We hide our laundry and he still somehow pulls one out of the ether. He just parades around the living room like he's accomplished something monumental. It's his little trophy. I tried to trade him for a treat once and he just gave me this look, like 'absolutely not, this is mine now'. So now there's just a pile of single socks in his dog bed. He sleeps right on top of them. I guess it's his collection. Honestly it's pretty cute but also super weird. I wonder if other people's dogs do this or if mine is just uniquely strange.

He also has a favorite blue sock he carries outside to the backyard. He brings it to the patio and just leaves it there. It's become a neighborhood landmark. My neighbor asked if it was some kind of dog toy and I said no, it's just his emotional support sock. We have to bring it in when it rains or he gets upset. It's honestly a whole routine now.

I finally tried making that pasta bake I saw online. It turned out way better than I expected honestly. I thought I messed up the sauce because it looked a little thin when I put it in the oven but it came out perfectly creamy. I added a little extra garlic because you can never have too much. My roommate had two helpings which is always a good sign. I'll probably make it again for the potluck next weekend. I'm thinking I'll double the recipe though because last time I made something for a group it disappeared in like ten minutes. Fingers crossed this one is a hit too. It's nice when a recipe actually works out on the first try because sometimes they are total disasters.

I used a mix of ricotta and mozzarella and a jar of sun-dried tomato sauce. I also threw in some spinach at the last minute to make it feel a little healthier. It baked for about thirty minutes and the top got all bubbly and golden. I let it sit for a bit before cutting into it and it held its shape perfectly. Definitely adding this one to the regular rotation.
