Thank you for your note about the garden club meeting next Saturday. I think the plan to meet at the community center at 10am works well. I have been working on the layout for the raised beds and can bring my sketches. The topic about soil preparation is something I have been researching quite a bit. There is a good mix of vegetables we could plant this season. Tomatoes and peppers should do well with the sunlight we get. I also wanted to ask if anyone has experience with companion planting. I have read that basil near tomatoes can help with flavor and pest control. We should also discuss the watering schedule since that has been a challenge in past years. Let me know if you need me to bring anything else for the meeting. I can also bring some seed catalogs I have been looking through. The new varieties this year seem interesting. Looking forward to seeing everyone there and getting the plans finalized. I think we can make this the best garden yet with the right planning and teamwork.

Omaha Steaks is offering a gourmet steak sampler to participants as part of a special program. A total of 500 boxes are available, with each box normally valued at over $600. Those who receive this email can receive the sampler at no charge — you will not be billed for the box if selected. One sampler per household. Offer ends Tomorrow.

Each cut is hand-selected and flash-frozen to lock in exceptional flavor. This is a straightforward offer for those who wish to experience a curated selection of steaks.

Inside Your Box

4 Filet Mignons

4 Ribeyes

4 New York Strips

6 Top Sirloins

Quantities are determined by program allocation. One sampler per household while supplies last.

Thank you for taking a moment to review this offer.

I wanted to follow up on your question about the book club selection for next month. The historical novel about the silk trade in medieval France has been getting good reviews from members who have started it. I think the pacing works well for group discussion since there are several key turning points in the narrative. The author's note at the end provides context that I found helpful for understanding the research behind the story. We could plan to meet on the second Tuesday as usual. The library has confirmed the meeting room will be available. I will send a reminder to everyone a week before with some discussion questions to think about while reading. Let me know if you think we should also pick a short story collection for the following month to vary the format a bit. Several members have mentioned wanting to try something different. I can bring a few options to the next meeting for everyone to look at. The dessert rotation for the meeting is still open if you would like to sign up for that.
