Important Reminder

Hey, got your message about the tomato plants. I usually start mine indoors around early March under a simple grow light setup. They seem to do really well with consistent watering every couple of days once they sprout. I tried that brand of fertilizer you mentioned last season, and it worked wonders on the cherry tomatoes. The raised bed idea is solid for drainage, just make sure it gets enough full sun. I also tried companion planting with basil and marigolds to keep pests away, and it honestly made a huge difference. No need for any sprays or chemicals. Let me know if you want me to save you some seeds from the San Marzano variety I grew last year. They were perfect for sauces and really easy to grow. Hope this helps a bit! Let me know if you want to swap cuttings sometime.

Oh, I totally forgot to tell you about that shelf I finished last weekend. I used reclaimed pine and a dark walnut stain. The grain came out even nicer than I expected. I tried a new technique for the joinery using dowels instead of screws, and it looks much cleaner. It was actually pretty relaxing to just focus on sanding and finishing for a few hours. Anyway, thanks for the tip on the hardware store, their prices were much better than the big box stores. I also found a great little plant store nearby where I grabbed a few ferns for the patio. They were having a sale on their outdoor planters and had a lovely selection of succulents. Let me know if you want to check it out sometime! I think you would really like their herb selection too.
