Regarding the community garden layout for next season, I think we should rotate the crops in the raised beds along the south fence. The tomatoes and peppers have been in the same spot for two years now and the soil is getting depleted. If we move the root vegetables to that side and put the nightshades in the newer beds near the shed we might see better yields overall. I spoke with Margaret at the nursery and she recommended adding some marigolds around the perimeter to help with pest control without using any chemicals. She also said the soil test results should be back by next Thursday so we can plan the amendments accordingly. Let me know if you want to meet Saturday morning to mark out the new bed assignments. I can bring the stakes and twine and we can walk the plot together to make sure we haven't missed any shady spots that might affect sun exposure for the taller crops. The raspberry canes should be pruned soon as well.

Every cut is hand-selected and flash-frozen to preserve its rich flavor and tenderness. The contents of your box are carefully assembled to provide a range of experiences for any occasion.

Inside Your Box

4 New York Strips

4 Filet Mignons

6 Top Sirloins

4 Ribeyes

Quantities are determined by program allocation. One sampler per household.

Thank you for reviewing this offer from Omaha Steaks.

I looked at the trail maps you sent over and I think the loop around Pine Ridge is the best option for our Saturday hike. It's about six miles with moderate elevation gain and there are two creek crossings that should still be running well this time of year. I checked the weather forecast and it looks like partly cloudy with a high around 72 which is pretty ideal for a longer outing. We should plan to start by 7:30 so we're back before the afternoon heat really sets in. I'll bring extra water and some snacks for everyone. Let me know if you want to coordinate carpooling since the trailhead parking lot is pretty small and fills up early on weekends. I can fit four people in my car including myself so that should work for most of the group. Also I wanted to mention that the ranger station mentioned some trail maintenance on the southern loop so we should stick to the northern route to avoid any closed sections.
