Walmart Rewards

I think your plan sounds great honestly. We tried something similar last spring with the raised garden beds and it worked out better than expected. The key was getting the soil mix right and making sure we had enough drainage underneath. I used a combination of compost and topsoil and added some perlite for aeration. The tomatoes went crazy and we had more zucchini than we knew what to do with. One thing I wish I had done differently was plan the spacing better because some of the plants got too crowded and we had to thin them out mid-season. Also the drip irrigation system was a game changer. Definitely worth the investment. Let me know if you want any tips on setting that up. I found a really good timer that connects to your phone so you can adjust watering schedules remotely which was perfect when we went on vacation for a week. The whole setup ended up costing less than I expected and saved so much time compared to hand watering every day. The best part was watching everything grow from seed to harvest. We started with just a few basic vegetables and by the end of summer we were giving away extras to neighbors.

I completely agree with your take on that documentary. The part about the migration patterns was fascinating and I didn't realize how complex their social structures actually are. My daughter watched it with me and she was totally hooked. She started drawing pictures of the different species and now she wants to be a biologist when she grows up. We checked out a few books from the library to learn more and found some really cool facts that weren't even in the film. Did you know that some of these species can communicate with each other using sounds that humans can't even hear? It's incredible how much we're still learning about them. I think the filmmaker did a great job balancing the scientific information with the storytelling. It never felt like a lecture. We watched it twice actually and noticed new details the second time. If you have any recommendations for similar documentaries I'd love to hear them. We're always looking for good nature documentaries to watch on weekends. The cinematography was stunning too. Some of those aerial shots gave me chills.
