Hey, thanks for getting back to me about the garden project. I think the raised beds are definitely the way to go, and your suggestion about using cedar for the frame makes a lot of sense since it’ll hold up better against the weather. I was looking at some plans online, and a simple 4x8 layout seems like the most manageable starting point. We can always expand later if we feel ambitious. I picked up some organic soil mix yesterday, and I have a line on some decently priced seedlings. Just let me know what weekend works best for you. I’m free most Saturdays, and I can probably swing a Sunday if that’s better. Also, I’ll bring my own tools, so no need to worry about sharing. Should I pick up some extra compost, or do you think the soil mix will be enough to get them started? I want to make sure we give the tomatoes a good foundation. Let me know what you think!

Also, I saw a really interesting documentary on coastal ecosystems last night. The cinematography was incredible, and it gave me a whole new appreciation for marine conservation efforts. It focused on kelp forests and how they support biodiversity. Definitely worth a watch if you have time.

I finally had a chance to look into that photo organizing software you mentioned last week. I downloaded the trial version and started playing around with it. The facial recognition feature is surprisingly accurate, though it did tag my dog as a 'primary subject' in about half the shots, which I found pretty amusing. The tagging and search functions are intuitive, and I like how it handles RAW files without a hiccup. I haven't tried the cloud sync yet because my upload speed is mediocre, but I’ll test it overnight. One thing I noticed is that the mobile app is a bit stripped down compared to the desktop version. For batch editing and keywording, you definitely need the full interface. Have you found any good tutorials for the advanced export settings? I watched a couple, but they gloss over the color grading tools. Let me know what you think!

On a different note, I’ve been reading a lot about urban planning and walkable cities lately. It’s fascinating how much thought goes into infrastructure that most people take for granted. There’s a great book called Walkable City that breaks down the principles pretty well. Highly recommend it if you are into that sort of thing.
