Yeah, I totally get what you mean about the hiking trail. We did the one near Pine Ridge last weekend, and it was absolutely packed. I think everyone had the same idea because the weather was perfect. The views at the top were worth the crowd though. You could see the whole valley and the lake was glittering like crazy. We packed a lunch and just sat there for an hour, which was nice. Have you tried the new ramen place downtown? I went last Tuesday and it was surprisingly good. The broth had a lot of depth, and the soft-boiled egg was perfect. Definitely going back to try their spicy miso. Anyway, let me know if you want to hit that trail again, maybe early morning to avoid the rush. I heard the sunrise from the east ridge is incredible.

We also checked out the farmer's market on Sunday. They had these amazing heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil. Made a caprese salad that was out of this world. The local honey vendor was giving out samples, and we ended up buying a jar of wildflower honey. It's been a good week for food discoveries.

Thanks for the book recommendation! I finished it last night. The plot twist around chapter 12 completely caught me off guard. I had to go back and reread the beginning once I knew the truth. The author did a great job laying subtle clues without making it obvious. I'm looking for something similar to read next. Maybe something set in a different time period, like the 1920s or maybe ancient Rome. I feel like switching genres for a bit. Have you seen that new documentary on coral reefs? The cinematography is insane, and the narration is really engaging. It makes you appreciate how complex and fragile the underwater ecosystems are. Let me know if you have any other books in mind, I trust your taste.

I also started taking a pottery class on Tuesday nights. It's been a long time since I have done something purely creative, and it is surprisingly therapeutic. The wheel is a lot harder than it looks. My first few attempts were pretty wobbly, but the instructor is patient. I am hoping to make a decent mug by the end of the month. It is nice to have a hobby that doesn't involve a screen.
