I meant to reply sooner, but the afternoon slipped by while I was trying to reorganize the bookshelf and clear out old notebooks.
It turned into one of those tasks that looked simple before I started, then somehow covered the whole room.
I did finally figure out a better way to sort everything, and now it feels much calmer in here than it did this morning.
If you are still deciding how to arrange yours, I would group things by use instead of size, because it makes finding them a lot easier later.
I also set aside a stack of things to donate and a few to keep nearby for daily use.
The best part was finishing before evening and being able to sit down with tea for a few quiet minutes.
I can help this week if you want another pair of hands, because once I got started it was actually pretty satisfying.

I was thinking about your question from earlier, and I do think starting small is the easiest way to keep the whole project from feeling overwhelming.
If I try to do everything in one big push, I usually lose focus halfway through and end up moving things around without a real plan.
What works better for me is picking one corner, finishing it completely, and then taking a short break before doing the next part.
It keeps the momentum going and makes the progress visible, which somehow helps more than I expect.
I also noticed that putting on quiet background music helped me stay patient with the fiddly bits that usually make me stop.
By the end, even a few completed sections made the room feel more orderly and easier to enjoy.
If you want, send me a quick list of what you are tackling first, and I can help you decide the least annoying place to begin.
