I checked the paint samples you sent over and I think the warm taupe would work best for the living room. It pulls together the natural light from those big windows way better than the gray option. For the trim I would stick with a semi-gloss white because it holds up against scuffs and cleaning much longer than matte. If you go with the taupe you might also consider a soft cream for the ceiling to keep the room feeling open. I painted my own hallway last fall with a similar palette and it made a big difference in how spacious everything felt. The primer coat is really important especially if there is any old dark color underneath. You will want to let each coat dry fully before adding the next one or it can bubble. Let me know if you want me to come by and help tape off the edges. I have a good angled brush that makes corners much easier. Also be sure to cover your floor drops because even with careful cutting in there is always some splatter.

For the bedroom I would go with something cooler like a pale sage green. It helps create a calm space. You can always test a small patch first to see how it looks at different times of day. I can bring over my roller extension pole if you need it.

HARBOR FREIGHT

You received this email because you are a valued Harbor Freight customer.

I looked over the trail map you sent and I think the Ridge Loop would be a great choice for Saturday. It is about six miles total with a moderate incline and there are two good overlook spots about halfway through. The parking lot at the trailhead can fill up early so I would plan to arrive by 7:30 at the latest. I usually bring extra water and a few snacks because the sun exposure on the south side of the ridge can be pretty intense even in mild weather. The trail is well marked but I always carry a small compass just in case. There is also a stream crossing around mile four that can be slippery after rain so we should watch our footing there. I have done this loop a few times and the fall color along the upper section is really nice right now. If we finish early we could grab lunch at that diner near the entrance. They have a good soup and sandwich combo and the outdoor patio is usually open. Let me know if you want to carpool. I can fit two more people in my truck and I have a roof rack if anyone brings extra gear. We should also check for any trail closures before we head out because they sometimes do maintenance midweek.

If you prefer a shorter route there is also the Creek Trail which is only about three miles and mostly flat. It follows the water the whole way and there are several benches along the path. That one is popular with families so it can be a bit busier on weekends. Either way I am happy to go with whatever the group decides.
