I think the best approach would be to meet at the park around 10 on Saturday. We can grab coffee from that little cart near the playground and find a bench to talk. I have been thinking about what you mentioned regarding the garden layout and I have a few ideas. The raised beds along the fence would work well for tomatoes since they will get afternoon sun. For herbs, closer to the kitchen door makes sense so you can just step out and grab what you need while cooking. I also looked into soil mixes and found that a blend of compost, peat moss, and vermiculite gives good drainage. If you want, I can bring my extra trowel and some seed starters. We should also discuss the watering schedule since July can get pretty dry. Let me know if 10 works for you or if another time is better.

I also wanted to mention that the hardware store on Main Street has a sale on potting soil this weekend. Might be worth stopping by if you need more. Their organic mix is usually pretty good and the bags are a decent size. I picked up two last week and the quality seemed fine. Just thought I would pass that along.

Regarding your question about the book club selection, I think The Midnight Library would be a great choice for next month. It has that blend of thought-provoking themes and an engaging story that most people seemed to enjoy last time. I know some members prefer shorter reads, but it is around 300 pages which feels manageable over three weeks. We could schedule the discussion for the second Thursday of the month at the usual spot. I will bring snacks this time, maybe that spinach dip everyone liked. One thing I would suggest is preparing a few discussion questions ahead of time so the conversation flows better. I noticed last time we spent a lot of time on just the first few chapters. Also, if anyone has not finished the book by then, they can still join and share their thoughts on the parts they did read.

Let me know what you think about that selection. If anyone has another suggestion we can put it to a vote at the next meeting. I am happy to go with whatever the group decides. Also, I can send out a reminder email a week before so people have time to grab the book from the library or order it online.
