I finally tried that ramen spot you mentioned and honestly I get the hype now. The broth was super rich and the chashu melted in my mouth. I went on a Tuesday around 1pm and there was no line at all which felt like a win. They have this spicy miso option that I almost ordered but I stuck with the classic tonkotsu and added an extra soft-boiled egg. The noodles had that perfect chew. I sat at the counter and watched them slice the pork right there. I think next time I will bring you along so we can share the gyoza too because the table next to me had them and they looked incredible. Also the place is tiny only like 12 seats so it feels very tucked away. I already sent the address to our group chat. Let me know if you want to go next week I am free Thursday or Friday after work.

Oh and the iced matcha I grabbed from the café down the street afterward was really smooth not bitter at all. The barista mentioned they use a ceramic whisk which I guess makes a difference. I might try making matcha at home now just need to find a good powder. Anyway just wanted to share because I know you have been looking for a new lunch spot near the office.

I finally got around to repotting that monstera you gave me last spring and it already looks happier. I mixed in some orchid bark with the soil because I read they like chunkier drainage and the roots were starting to circle the bottom of the old pot. It had three new leaves unfurling within a week of moving it to the bigger pot. I put it near the east window but not direct light and it seems to love that spot. I also started propagating a cutting in water just in case I want to share with my sister. The aerial roots are already growing which I think is a good sign. I have been using filtered water instead of tap and I think that helped because the tips used to brown a little. Anyway your plant advice has been gold. I am going to try fertilizing lightly this spring and see how it goes.

Also the farmer's market this weekend had really nice herbs so I picked up basil and mint. I potted the basil in a small terracotta pot and it is already perking up. The mint is in its own container because I know how aggressive it gets. I might try making mojitos with the mint once it grows out a bit. Let me know if you want a cutting of the monstera once the water roots are sturdy enough I can set one aside for you.
