Just finished putting together that new bookshelf I was telling you about. It took way longer than I expected because some of the screws were stripped, and I had to improvise with some tools I had lying around. Overall, it looks pretty good for a cheap DIY project. The wood grain has a nice texture to it, and it matches my other furniture better than I thought it would. Now I finally have a place to store all those novels piling up on my desk. I organized them by color, just to try something different. It actually makes the room look a bit more modern. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation on the cordless drill. It made the job so much easier. Let me know if you need help with anything over the weekend. I should be free to lend a hand. Talk soon!

Really appreciate you sending over that article about sustainable gardening practices. I had no idea that certain companion plants could naturally repel pests without any chemicals. I am planning to try the basil and tomato pairing this season. Also, the tips about soil pH were super helpful. I tested my soil last weekend and found it was slightly too acidic, so I added some lime to balance it out. Can't wait to see how the garden turns out this year.

Hey, I just wanted to follow up on our conversation about the community garden plot. I went ahead and reserved the corner space near the fence. It gets plenty of sun, and there's a water spigot right next to it. I was thinking we could start with tomatoes, bell peppers, and maybe some basil. I found a great organic soil mix at the local nursery. They also have some heirloom seeds that looked really interesting. I can pick everything up on Saturday morning if you want to help me prep the soil. It would be great to get the plants in the ground before the heat wave hits next week. Let me know what you think about the layout. I sketched out a quick plan with the different sections. We can adjust it if you have other vegetables in mind.

Also, I wanted to ask if you have tried that new Italian place downtown yet. I heard their homemade pasta is incredible. A few friends are planning to go next Friday and I was thinking of joining them. The menu looks amazing, and they have a decent selection of vegetarian options too. Let me know if you have been there and what you thought of it.
