I saw your question about the garden project, and yeah, I think the raised bed method works great for tomatoes. We used untreated cedar and it lasted years. The soil mix we did was equal parts compost, peat moss, and vermiculite. Kept the pH around 6.5. If you want, I can send you the exact measurements we used for a 4x8 frame. Also, make sure you drill drainage holes every six inches along the bottom. We lined ours with landscape fabric to keep the soil in but let water out. The trick is to water deeply but less frequently to encourage deep roots. We added a drip irrigation kit from the local hardware store and it made life so much easier. One thing we learned the hard way: don't use pressure-treated wood if you're growing food. The chemicals can leach in. Anyway, let me know if you need more details. Happy to help.

Ivh1A6IoLn By the way, the basil we planted next to the tomatoes thrived. Companion planting really works.

Hey, I finally got around to trying that recipe you sent. The chicken marinade was amazing – I used lemon juice and garlic and it turned out really tender. I added a bit of smoked paprika too. For the sides, I did roasted potatoes with rosemary and a simple arugula salad with balsamic. The whole dinner came together in about 45 minutes. My kids even asked for seconds, which never happens. I'm thinking of trying the same marinade on fish next time. Also, I found a great podcast about urban gardening that you might like. The host interviews people who grow food on rooftops and in small apartments. It's inspiring. Anyway, thanks for the tip. Let me know if you have other recipes that are quick and use minimal dishes. I'm always looking for weeknight options. Hope you're doing well!
