Hey, I saw your question about the best way to finish that oak shelf. I've had really good luck with Danish oil. It soaks in deep and doesn't leave a plasticky film. You just wipe it on, let it sit for 15 minutes, then buff off the excess. It's super forgiving. Make sure you sand up to at least 220 grit first though, it really makes a difference in the final feel. Let me know if you want to borrow my random orbital sander, it's gathering dust in the garage. Also, the hardware store on CxPKvFjTsox 5th has a sale on finishing pads this week. Just a heads up! Hope that helps. Let me see a picture when you're done. I finished a similar project last month and used the same method. The shelf came out beautifully. I used a dark walnut color and it really popped against the white wall. I'm actually planning to build a matching console table next weekend. I found some great plans online that only use pocket holes, so no complicated joinery. Let me know if you want to tackle it together. It might be a fun Saturday project. Anyway, good luck with the shelf!

Oh man, I finally watched that sci-fi series you recommended. The first episode was confusing with all the timelines, but by episode three I was completely hooked. The visual effects were stunning, especially the space station scenes. I binge watched the whole season in two nights. I can't believe they did it on a TV budget. The main actress gave an incredible performance. I'm so glad they renewed it for a second season. Have you been watching anything else good lately? We're looking for new recommendations to switch things up around here. Let's plan a watch party for season 2 when it eventually drops. It's always more fun to speculate about what's going to happen next when we are together. I feel like the clues are all planted in episode five. Rewatching it gave me a completely new perspective on the storyline. Thanks again for the recommendation! You always have the best taste in shows and movies.
