I think the best way to handle the parking situation is to have everyone park at the lot on Elm Street rather than trying to fit behind the building. That lot holds about forty cars and it is usually half empty on weekends. We can set up a small table at the entrance with name tags and a quick sign-in sheet so we know who showed up. The weather looks like it will cooperate but I will bring a couple of pop-up tents just in case. We should also assign someone to grab coffee and pastries for the morning since not everyone will have eaten beforehand. I spoke with the venue coordinator and she said we can start setting up at eight thirty. The main session will run from nine to noon with a short break in the middle. I think we should keep the agenda flexible so people feel comfortable asking questions as they come up. Let me know if you want me to send out a map and a quick schedule to everyone beforehand. I can also handle the name tags and sign-in sheet if that helps lighten your load.

I tried that new pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out really well. The key was letting the sauce simmer for at least thirty minutes to get the flavors to blend properly. I added a bit more garlic than what the recipe called for because I really enjoy that extra kick. Next time I might try using sun-dried tomatoes instead of fresh ones just to see how the texture changes. The fresh basil definitely made a difference so do not skip that step. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. Everyone at the table asked for seconds which is always a good sign. I think this could easily become a regular dish in our rotation. I am planning to try the other recipe you shared next weekend. Let me know if you have any other suggestions for variations because I would love to experiment more with the base sauce. I also found that adding a pinch of red pepper flakes gave it a nice warmth without being too spicy.
