I was looking at those trail maps you sent last week and I think I finally picked a route for Saturday. The loop around the ridge looks manageable even with the afternoon heat we've been having. I checked the weather and it should be clear with a light breeze so that should help. I was thinking we could start early around 6am to beat the crowds and bring plenty of water. The elevation gain is about 800 feet spread over 3 miles so it's nothing too crazy but we'll want good shoes. I also read that the wildflowers are still blooming near the upper meadow which would be nice to see. Let me know if you want to adjust the start time or if you'd rather try a different trail altogether. I'm flexible but I'd love to get out there before the weekend crowds show up. Also I packed some snacks already nothing fancy just trail mix and some apples. Oh and I found that extra headlamp you thought you lost it was in my car's glove compartment the whole time.

I finally finished that novel you recommended and I have to say the last chapter completely changed my view of the main character. The way the author wove together the different timelines was really clever and I didn't see the twist 08phM1aIPvfZ coming at all. I had been reading it slowly over the past few weeks mostly in the evenings after work and it was the kind of story that stays with you during the day. I found myself thinking about the characters while commuting which is always a good sign. The writing style reminded me a bit of that book I read last year about the lighthouse keeper but this one had a much faster pace. I'm planning to start the sequel next week since I already bought it on your recommendation. Thanks for suggesting it I've been looking for something that actually holds my attention past the first few chapters. Let me know if you have any other suggestions I trust your taste. Also I heard there's a film adaptation in development so we should read it before that comes out.
