I saw you sent an email yesterday asking about the best way to get started with indoor gardening during the colder months. Honestly, I think the key is just picking one or two things that you genuinely enjoy eating or looking at, because if you like it, you'll actually remember to water it and give it enough light. I started small—just a few pots of basil and mint on a windowsill—and it honestly turned out better than I expected. The basil grew like crazy and we ended up making pesto like three times. I had no idea it would be that simple. You definitely don't need a greenhouse or anything fancy. Just a decent window and a little patience. Yeah, I know, easy for me to say living in a place that actually gets some sun in winter, but there are definitely ways around it if you're in a darker spot. I read about these little LED grow lights that plug into USB ports, and they're apparently super affordable. Might be worth checking out if your kitchen stays mostly shaded. Anyway, just my two cents. Happy to send you some pics of my setup if you want.

I finally gave in and started watching that nature documentary series everyone has been talking about. Honestly, I put it off for months because I thought it would be too slow-paced, but my roommate basically forced me to watch the first episode last weekend. The cinematography is absolutely incredible. We watched it on the big TV in the living room and it felt like we were traveling somewhere completely different. The episode about deep ocean creatures was my favorite so far. I had no idea some of those fish existed. It's wild what they can capture on camera these days. Have you seen it yet? If you're into visually stunning stuff but don't want something that requires a ton of attention or complex plot tracking, this is perfect. Just beautiful scenes and interesting facts. We're planning to watch another episode tonight with dinner. I'll let you know if it holds up, but so far, I'm really impressed. The soundtrack was also surprisingly great, which I didn't expect. It really added to the whole immersive experience. Let me know if you end up checking it out.
