That sounds like a solid plan for the weekend trip. I checked the cabin availability and they have a two-night opening starting Friday afternoon. We should probably aim to leave by noon to beat the heavier traffic. I already reserved the larger grill and brought the cooler from storage. Let me know if you want to split the ingredient list or if you'd prefer to handle it yourself. I can grab the produce and some sides while you pick up the main items. Also, the forecast shows mild temperatures so we might want to bring layers for the evening. The fire pit is in good shape and I confirmed there's plenty of dry wood on site. We should also decide on a few board games or card options since the evenings tend to wind down early out there. Let me know what you think about the timing and I will finalize the booking.

I looked into the garden bed layout you mentioned and I think the raised design near the south wall would work well. The soil there drains nicely and gets solid afternoon light. I measured the space and we can fit three long beds with a narrow path between them. For the soil mix, I was thinking a blend of compost, peat moss, and perlite rather than the bagged garden soil. It tends to stay looser and the roots spread better. I already sourced a good compost supplier nearby and they can deliver midweek. For the seeds, the early spring varieties should go in first and we can follow with the warm season crops after the last frost date. I can mark the calendar and handle the planting schedule if that helps. Just let me know if you want to adjust the bed dimensions or the layout before I order the lumber.
