Of course I can help with the garden layout. Raised beds are a solid approach if drainage is a concern. I would group tomatoes and basil together since they support each other well, then keep the brassicas on the far end because they tend to take up more space. The soil mix I used last season was one third compost, one third peat moss, and one third vermiculite, and everything grew vigorously. For the fence, a simple hog panel setup works without being too expensive. You could plant climbing beans along the north side so they don’t shade the smaller crops. Mulching with straw early in the season reduces weeds significantly so you won’t have to spend weekends pulling them. I also suggest drip irrigation on a timer if you travel at all. It keeps the soil moisture consistent and lowers the chance of blossom end rot. Let me know what crops you are prioritizing and I can sketch out spacing guidelines that would be easy to follow.

We appreciate you taking a moment to review this offering.

Regarding the weekend trip, the cabin we looked at has three bedrooms and a large deck facing east so the morning light is nice. I checked the calendar and the dates you mentioned in early October are still open. The owner mentioned the leaves should be near peak color then. I would plan to bring layers because it gets cool in the evenings. There is a good hiking trail about a mile from the cabin that loops around a small lake. If you want to cook one night, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and basic utensils. I can bring a cooler with ingredients so we do not have to search for a grocery store after arrival. Let me know if you prefer a Saturday to Saturday booking or a Friday to Friday one. Either way I will reach out to the owner tomorrow to hold the reservation. We should also figure out who is driving and what time we want to leave. I am flexible on that so just send me your preference.
