Yeah, I finally got around to organizing the garage last weekend. It was one of those projects I kept putting off for months. Found some old boxes of photos from our trip to the coast a few years back. The weather was perfect that week - not too hot, not too cold. We spent most of the time just walking along the beach and exploring little shops in town. I also came across my old record player ouT1QzMVCI in one of the boxes. It still works somehow. Anyway, the garage is now actually usable. You can park a car in there again without bumping into stuff. The shelves are all labeled and everything has a place now.

Let me know if you want to borrow any of the tools I sorted out. I know you mentioned needing a circular saw for that deck project. Also, I tried that new bakery on Elm Street last Thursday. Their sourdough is incredible. The crust has this perfect crunch and the inside is so chewy. I grabbed a cinnamon roll too and it was gone before I got home. Just a heads up if you're in that area. Oh, and the coffee shop next door does a really good cold brew. Not too acidic, smooth finish. Anyway, that's my update for now. Talk soon.

Hey, thanks for sending over that article about container gardening. I've been thinking about trying to grow some herbs on the balcony this summer. Basil and mint seem pretty straightforward from what I read. The article mentioned using vertical space too, which would work well since the balcony isn't huge.

I also watched that documentary you recommended last week. Really eye-opening stuff. The cinematography was stunning - they captured some incredible landscapes. I didn't realize how much work goes into restoring native habitats. It's inspiring though. Makes me want to volunteer somewhere local.

The garden center on Main Street had a sale last weekend so I picked up some pots and soil. They had these nice ceramic planters for half off. I got two medium ones and a small one for the kitchen window. I'm thinking of trying rosemary too since it's supposed to be pretty hardy. The woman at the store said it does well in containers as long as it gets enough sun. My balcony gets afternoon sun so it should work out.

Let me know if you hear of any volunteer opportunities around here. I checked a few websites but nothing's jumped out yet. Also, I'm finally making progress on that quilt I started back in January. Just need to finish the border and it'll be done. The pattern is getting easier now that I've done it a few times. Maybe I'll try a more complicated one next time.
