Yes, I think replying to your question about the garden layout makes sense. We planned for raised beds along the southern fence where sunlight lasts longest. The soil mixture we settled on uses equal parts topsoil and compost with a small amount of sand for drainage. I already ordered the lumber last week and it should arrive by Thursday. If you want to help with assembly, we could start Saturday morning around eight. Let me know if that timing works for you. Also, I checked on the tomato seedlings and they are doing well under the grow lights. We should harden them off before transplanting, probably beginning next Monday. I can bring extra stakes and twine if needed. The drip irrigation kit arrived yesterday, so we can set that up as we go. I think we will have enough space for peppers and herbs along the side border. Let me know your thoughts on the layout sketch I sent earlier. We can adjust spacing if you prefer wider paths between beds. I am happy to revise the plan based on your preferences.

Regarding your question about the hiking route for next weekend, I think the Ridge Trail loop is the best option if we want something moderate with good views. It is about seven miles with an elevation gain of twelve hundred feet, which should take us around four hours at a comfortable pace. I checked the trail conditions report and it says the path is clear with only a few muddy sections near the creek crossing. We should bring trekking poles for that part. I plan to pack sandwiches and plenty of water. There is a nice overlook about halfway where we can stop for lunch. The weather forecast looks favorable with highs near seventy and partly cloudy skies. If you want to carpool, I can pick you up at seven thirty on Saturday morning. Let me know if you prefer the shorter loop instead, which is about five miles but does not have the same scenic payoff. I am flexible either way. Also, I remembered you mentioned wanting to try that new trail mix recipe, so feel free to bring some along.
