Regarding your question about the garden planning for next spring — I think we should definitely move the raised beds to the south side of the yard where they will get more direct sun throughout the day. The tomatoes really struggled this year in that partially shaded spot near the fence. I have been reading about companion planting strategies and it seems like placing basil and marigolds alongside the peppers could help deter pests naturally. Also, if we want to try carrots again, we need to loosen the soil much deeper than we did last time because the roots hit that compacted layer and forked badly. Let me know if you want to meet up this weekend to sketch out the layout together and maybe we can order seeds sooner rather than later since popular varieties tend to sell out quickly in early spring.

Gourmet Sampler Program

A selection of hand-chosen cuts, provided at no charge to participants.

Omaha Steaks has set aside 500 gourmet boxes for this program. Each box is valued at over $600 and is provided at no charge to those who receive this notification. One sampler per household is allocated, and the offer concludes Tomorrow. Recipients will not be billed for the sampler — the full cost is covered by the program.

Every cut is hand-selected and flash-frozen to lock in exceptional flavor and tenderness. This is an opportunity to experience quality craftsmanship from a trusted name in premium meats.

Inside Your Box

4 Filet Mignons

4 Ribeyes

4 New York Strips

6 Top Sirloins

Quantities are determined by program allocation.

Thank you for taking the time to review this offer.

About the hiking route you asked about — I think the Ridge Trail loop is the better choice for October since the lower elevation paths tend to stay muddy well into the morning. The ranger mentioned that the north overlook has been cleared of fallen trees so the view should be fully open this season. We should plan to start by 7am to avoid the afternoon wind that picks up around the summit. I will bring the trail map and maybe a thermos of tea for the break at the halfway point. The total distance is about 8 miles with moderate elevation gain so it should take us roughly 4 to 5 hours depending on how often we stop for photos. Let me know if you prefer the shorter option via the creek bed instead since that route has more shade and water access.
