Hey, I was just thinking about what you said earlier regarding the garden project. I started looking into soil blends and I think the raised bed approach is the way to go. The drainage is so much better and you don't have to worry about compacted ground. I talked to a friend who did it last spring and her tomatoes were incredible. She used a mix of compost, peat moss, and vermiculite and said the results were night and day compared to regular ground planting. I also read that adding a layer of mulch on top helps retain moisture during hot spells. I am planning to start prepping the frames this weekend if you want to come by and see how it all comes together. It is actually pretty straightforward once you get the measurements right. Let me know what you think about the layout we talked about. I can send over a simple sketch if that helps visualize it better.

I finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you sent last week and it turned out really well. I was a little skeptical about the sauce consistency at first but it came together nicely after simmering a bit longer than the instructions said. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat and it gave it a nice kick without being overpowering. My family cleared the whole dish in about ten minutes so I am calling it a win. I also experimented with using half whole wheat pasta and half regular and honestly nobody noticed the difference. Next time I want to try it with a side of roasted broccoli tossed in garlic and lemon. That should round out the meal nicely. Let me know if you have tried any variations on it. I am always looking for ways to mix things up a bit without straying too far from the original.
