Hey thanks for getting back to me. I was just about to wrap up the garden project this weekend and your timing is perfect. We ended up going with the native wildflower mix instead of the annuals because the bees really seem to prefer them. My neighbor laughed when I told him I was planting for pollinators but now his yard is full of them too. I still have extra seed if you want some. The soil here is pretty sandy so we added compost and a little bit of peat moss to help with moisture retention. Everything is sprouting nicely except the lupines which apparently take longer to germinate. I might try stratifying the next batch in the fridge for a few weeks before planting. Let me know if you want to come by and see xvQKuWPubL the beds this weekend and I can show you what worked best.

I finally tried that sourdough recipe you sent and it turned out way better than I expected. The starter took almost ten days to become active and I nearly gave up twice but once it started doubling consistently everything clicked. I used a mix of bread flour and whole wheat and the crust came out really crunchy with a soft interior. My kids ate half the loaf before it even cooled completely which I took as a good sign. The only change I made was adding a little bit of honey to the dough because I like a faint sweetness. I also learned that scoring the bread at a deeper angle gives you more oven spring. Let me know if you want me to save you a slice or if you have another recipe to trade because I am hooked now.
