Hey, I saw your message about the garden project. I think starting with the soil composition is key. I had a lot of luck mixing in some organic compost last spring. The tomatoes really took off after that. S5VIotuI0IVdm It was quite a bit of work initially, turning over the beds and pulling out all the old roots. But once the season got going, it was totally worth it. We had way too many cherry tomatoes, honestly. I was giving them away to neighbors. Next year I'm thinking of trying a few pepper varieties. Let me know if you want to split a flat of seedlings when the time comes. Also, don't forget to check the local nursery for their early bird sale. Just make sure you water them deeply but not too often. It makes a big difference for root development. Anyway, just some random thoughts from my experience. Happy to help if you need a hand digging this weekend.

I checked out that new hiking trail you mentioned over the weekend. It's a solid moderate difficulty climb with some really nice views at the summit. We started early around 7 AM to beat the heat. Took us about an hour and a half to get to the top with a few short breaks. The trail is well marked but pretty rocky in sections so good boots are a must. I saw a few people trail running it which seems intense. There is a nice stream about halfway up where you can filter water if you need it. The parking lot was almost full when we got back down around 10. I would definitely recommend going on a weekday if possible. We are already planning to go back next month when the leaves start changing. It should be spectacular. Let me know if you want to join. We usually make a day of it and grab lunch at that little diner near the base.
