Hi, yeah I totally get what you mean. The garden project turned out way better than I expected. We ended up using those recycled pallets for the raised beds and they look rustic but really sturdy. I spent last Saturday morning painting them with a weatherproof sealant and by noon it was already 85 degrees. My neighbor brought over iced tea and we sat under the umbrella for an hour just talking about plant varieties. I think we will go with tomatoes and bell peppers first, maybe some basil along the edge. The soil mixture we put together last week seems to drain well but holds enough moisture. I also found a great deal on mulch at the local supply store so that should keep the weeds down. Oh and remember that recipe you mentioned for zucchini bread? I tried a version with coconut oil instead of butter and it was surprisingly moist. Let me know if you want the exact measurements. Anyway glad your schedule freed up for that weekend trip. 0brtpYkW5T We should do a hike on Saturday morning before it gets too hot. Bring your camera because the wildflowers are still out along the ridge.

Oh hey, I was just thinking about that conversation we had last week about the new coffee shop downtown. I finally stopped in yesterday and it was really good. They have this pour-over option that takes about five minutes but the flavor is incredible. I tried their Guatemala single origin and it had notes of dark chocolate and a hint of citrus. The barista recommended it with oat milk and I have to say it worked perfectly. The space itself is small but cozy – exposed brick walls, a few high top tables, and a window bar looking out onto the street. They also sell bags of beans roasted locally, so I picked up a small one to try at home. I used my Aeropress this morning and it was almost as good as in the shop. I think you would like their cold brew too – it is served on nitro tap and tastes super smooth. Let me know if you want to meet there this Saturday afternoon. I am free after 2pm. Also thanks for the tip about that parking lot behind the building – definitely easier than street parking. Hope your week is going well so far, talk soon.
