Yeah, I finally got around to organizing the garage last weekend. It was a bigger mess than I thought. I started by pulling everything out onto the driveway, which my neighbor thought was a yard sale. Found some old paint cans that probably predate the millennium. Took a trip to the recycling center to get rid of the hazardous stuff. After that, I installed some heavy-duty shelving along the back wall. It took a full day just to sort through all the nuts, bolts, and random hardware. I highly recommend those clear plastic bins with the locking lids for small parts. Makes finding the right screw a lot easier than digging through a coffee can. Still need to label everything, but at least I can park the car in there again. The next project is building a dedicated workbench in the corner. I've got the lumber list ready to go.

We tried that new BBQ place downtown you mentioned. The brisket was phenomenal, super tender with a perfect smoke ring. The sides were a bit hit or miss though. The mac and cheese was incredible, but the coleslaw was way too sweet for my taste. They have this really unique sauce bar with like eight different varieties. One of them was a coffee-based rub that actually worked really well with the ribs. The atmosphere is very casual, picnic tables and paper towels on the rolls. We went on a Tuesday night and it was still pretty busy, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you have a larger group. The portions are huge too, we definitely left with leftovers. It's nice to have a place like that in the neighborhood finally. We'll probably go back for the brisket tacos next time.
