I think we should go ahead with the raised bed garden project this spring. The location you picked gets plenty of sunlight and the soil drainage there is actually pretty good. I checked it last weekend after that heavy rain and it did not pool up at all. We should build the frames about 12 inches tall and use untreated cedar since it will last longer and will not leach anything into the soil. I can pick up the lumber next Thursday when I have access to the truck. For the soil mix I would recommend using a blend of topsoil compost and perlite to give the plants good drainage and nutrients. I think we should plant tomatoes peppers and basil in the first bed and maybe cucumbers and squash in the second one. I have some seeds left over from last season that I can bring. We should also set up a simple drip irrigation system to make watering easier during the summer months. I can draw up a rough plan this weekend and send it over to you.

I finally figured out a better way to organize the garage shelves and it made a huge difference. I grouped all the painting supplies together on one shelf and put all the power tools on another. The small parts and hardware went into clear bins that I labeled with a marker. Now I can actually find things without having to dig through piles of stuff. I found some items I thought I had lost months ago including that socket set I was looking for. I also hung a pegboard on the back wall for frequently used tools which freed up even more space. Next I want to tackle the workbench area and set up a proper vise and tool storage system. I think I can get that done over the next couple of weekends. If you want to come by and take a look at how I set things up you are welcome anytime. I can show you what I did and maybe give you some ideas for your own garage.
