I had a really great time at the park yesterday with my dog. We were trying out that new trail that opened last month and honestly it was much easier than I expected. She loved sniffing all the new sights and we even met another friendly golden retriever who was super playful. The weather was perfect too not too hot and just a light breeze. I think we will make it a regular Saturday thing if I can get myself out of bed early enough. My friend Sarah said she would join us next time aePNpeaVmh with her corgi which should be hilarious because that dog has way too much energy and chases everything that moves. I also brought along a picnic blanket and some snacks and we just sat by the little pond for a while watching the ducks. It was so peaceful. I even brought a book but honestly I just ended up people-watching and enjoying the fresh air. Sometimes you just need a day like that to reset and recharge. Anyway just wanted to share because I know you love hearing about our little adventures. Hope your weekend was just as nice. Let me know if you want to come along next time it would be fun to have you.

I finally finished organizing my bookshelf last night and it feels so satisfying. I have been putting it off for months and the piles were just getting out of hand. I sorted everything by genre and then alphabetically by author within each section which is probably overkill but it looks beautiful. I found a couple of books I borrowed from friends years ago and completely forgot to return so I need to track those down. Also discovered some old notebooks from college with really funny doodles in the margins. I stayed up way too late flipping through them and reminiscing. My roommate thinks I am crazy for spending so much time on it but there is something really calming about putting things in order. Next weekend I am tackling the closet which is a much bigger project. Wish me luck. Also I found a gift card tucked inside one of the books that I totally forgot about so that was a nice surprise. I also realized I have way more books than I thought which means I probably need to stop buying new ones for a while but we all know that will not happen. Anyway just wanted to share my small victory. Hope you are having a good week too and that something nice comes your way when you least expect it.
