I think we should go with the raised bed approach for the tomatoes this year. We have decent drainage in that corner of the yard and I can build the frame over a weekend. I was reading that adding compost early improves the yield quite a bit, so I will pick up a few bags next week. The peppers should do well on the south side where they get full sun. I also want to try planting some basil alongside the tomatoes since they complement each other nicely. Let me know what you think about the layout, I can sketch something out and share it. The soil test I did last month was pretty neutral so we just need to amend it slightly. I will water them every other day once the weather warms up consistently.

Omaha Steaks

Hand-selected cuts, prepared with care

Gourmet Steak Sampler Selection

A curated collection of hand-selected cuts for those who appreciate quality

Omaha Steaks is pleased to offer a selection of gourmet steak boxes to program participants. A total of 500 boxes are allocated for this program, with each recipient eligible to receive one sampler per household. The value of each box is over $600, yet participants will not be billed for the sampler. This cost is covered by the program for this offer. The offer ends Tomorrow.

Every cut is hand-selected and flash-frozen to preserve its natural flavor. This ensures each steak arrives ready to prepare and enjoy.

Inside Your Box

4 Ribeyes

6 Top Sirloins

4 Filet Mignons

4 New York Strips

Box quantities are determined by program allocation. One sampler per household. Offer ends Tomorrow.

We appreciate you taking a moment to learn about this offering.

The trailhead parking lot is small, so I recommend we arrive early to secure a spot. The loop itself is about 8 miles with moderate elevation gain, nothing too strenuous but I would still bring plenty of water. There is a nice overlook at the halfway point with views of the valley. Last time I went, I saw a family of deer near the creek crossing around mile 3. I packed sandwiches and we stopped for lunch there. The trail is well marked but I will bring a map just in case. If we finish early, there is a good spot for a late afternoon picnic about a mile past the trailhead. I will bring the gear and we can decide on a time that works for everyone.
