Yeah I finally got out to the trail you recommended. Honestly it was perfect timing because I really needed a mental reset. The weather held up nicely even though the forecast had some rain. I started around 8:30 from the main lot and followed the blue markers all the way up. There is one section near the halfway point that gets pretty steep but there are a few benches where you can catch your breath. I passed maybe four or five other people the whole time so it was not crowded at all. The view from the top overlooks the whole valley and I just sat there for a good twenty minutes eating a snack and enjoying the quiet. uaMGMFBap9nvz Coming down I took the alternate route which winds around the back of the ridge and adds about a mile but it is a gentler grade. Next time I would like to bring a friend and maybe pack a proper lunch. Thanks again for the suggestion I think I will make this a regular thing.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out really well. I was a little skeptical about the sauce at first because it seemed too simple but the flavors came together beautifully. I used fresh basil from the garden and added a little extra garlic because you can never have too much of that. The trick was letting it simmer for longer than I initially thought necessary, about forty five minutes on low heat, which really deepened the taste and aroma. I served it with some crusty sourdough bread and a simple side salad with a lemon vinaigrette. My family cleaned their plates which is always a good sign that something worked. I did make one substitution though I used penne instead of spaghetti because that is what I had in the pantry. It worked perfectly fine honestly any short pasta shape would do the job. I will definitely be adding this to the regular meal rotation going forward. Let me know if you have any other recipes you would recommend trying soon.
