Yeah, I finally made it out to the trail on Saturday. The weather held up nicely and the path wasn't too crowded. We started around 8 and made it to the ridge by noon. The view was worth the climb. I'd recommend taking the longer loop if you go — it adds about an hour but you avoid the steep section near the end. Let me know if you want me to share the GPS track. I also stopped by that bakery on the way back and picked up a sourdough loaf. It's been a while since I've done a proper overnight trip but this was a good reminder to plan something longer. The forecast for next weekend looks promising too, so I'm thinking about heading out again if the timing works out.

I tried starting peppers from seed this year and it's been going better than I expected. I set up a small grow station in the spare room with a couple of LED panels and a heat mat. The germination rates were pretty good — around 80 percent. I transplanted them into larger pots last weekend and they're starting to develop true leaves now. I'm hoping to get them outside by mid-spring if the temperatures cooperate. The variety mix I chose has a good range of heat levels so it should be interesting to see which ones produce well. I'll send you a photo once they start fruiting. Also picked up some new potting mix with added perlite which seems to help with drainage.
