I think the best approach for the backyard project is to start with the patio layout first. We were going back and forth on pavers versus concrete, but after seeing the samples, the textured concrete seems more practical for the climate. Also, the landscaper suggested adding drainage along the fence line to prevent pooling. The budget for that part is separate though. I still need to confirm the HOA approval timeline before we order materials. Hopefully the committee meets next week. Otherwise we might have to push the start date by a couple of weeks. Let me know your thoughts on the concrete color choice.

MARRIOT

Your Recent Stay Means Something Special to Us

We have arranged a luxury cooling pillow set for you, along with a 2-night stay at select properties, all at no charge.

Because you stayed at a Marriott or partner hotel within the past year, a luxury cooling pillow set has been allocated for you. This set is provided at no charge. After completing a short questionnaire to confirm your details, you can also claim a 2-night stay at select locations, also at no charge. You will not be billed for the pillows or the qualifying stay nights. This allocation is limited to 800 pillow sets, with one set per household.

Claim My Pillows & 2 Nights

This offer ends tomorrow. Questionnaire completion required.

Features of your cooling pillow set

1. Temperature Adapting
Phase-change materials actively maintain a comfortable sleeping temperature throughout the night.

2. Breathable Cover
Engineered mesh cover promotes exceptional airflow to keep the surface cool.

3. Supportive Core
Shredded memory foam resists clumping and provides consistent, even support.

4. Hypoallergenic Build
Crafted to resist dust mites and common allergens for a cleaner rest.

5. Adjustable Loft
Dual-layer design allows you to customize the height and firmness to your preference.

6. Silent Fabric
Noiseless inner core ensures quiet adjustments without disruptive crinkling sounds.

Quantities are determined by program allocation. Access to stay dates and locations is based on program scheduling and availability.

Thank you for choosing Marriott. Your continued trust is what drives us to recognize your stays.

MARRIOTT HOTELS & RESORTS

I received the latest draft of the chapter and the revisions look solid. The new examples you added for the second section really clarify the concept. One small thing, the citation on page five seems to be missing the year. I also think we could cut the last paragraph of section three to keep the pacing tight. Have you heard back from the editor about the deadline extension yet? If not, I can reach out to them directly. I know they were waiting on the reviewer comments from last month. Let me know if you want me to handle that.
