Hey, thanks for checking in on the project this weekend. I ended up going with the simpler approach for the shelf supports because it saved a lot of time. The wood I picked up at the lumberyard had a nice straight grain to it, so staining it really made the color pop. I still need to figure out the best way to anchor it to the wall since the studs aren't where I expected them to be behind the drywall. RCFK33sttcRx Maybe I'll use toggle bolts for the hollow areas to make sure it's secure. Overall, it turned out much sturdier than I initially thought it would. Let me know if you want to come by and see how it looks in person. I'll probably tackle the next one in a couple of weekends since I have the technique down now. Thanks again for all the advice on the tools and materials to use.

Thank you for being a valued Ace Hardware customer.

I finally figured out the settings on my camera for low light shots indoors. It took a few tries and quite a bit of trial and error, but bumping up the ISO and widening the aperture to its max did the trick nicely. The noise is a bit noticeable in the shadows, but Lightroom handles it pretty well with the new denoise feature. I was thinking of getting a prime lens next for sharper portraits and better bokeh. What do you use for your indoor shots and events? I saw the photos you posted from the museum exhibit last week, and they turned out wonderfully sharp. I need to practice more with manual focus because the auto was hunting a lot in the dimly lit rooms. Anyway, thanks for the tips last time we chatted about photography gear. Let me know when you're free for a photo walk downtown to test out some new techniques.
