I think your suggestion about rotating the crops each season is smart. We did tomatoes in the south bed last year and they did well but the soil needs a break there. Maybe put the beans and squash in that spot this spring and move the tomatoes to the east side where the drainage is better. Also we should add some compost about two weeks before planting to give the nutrients time to settle. The marigolds along the edge helped with pests so lets keep those. Let me know if you want to adjust the layout before I order the seeds.
