Hey thanks for getting back to me about the apartment hunt this weekend. I =
finally checked out that place near the park and honestly it was way more s=
pacious than I expected. The kitchen had brand new countertops and the livi=
ng room gets amazing natural light in the afternoon. The landlord seemed pr=
etty chill too which is always a relief. I also stopped by the coffee shop =
around the corner and grabbed a latte - they use oat milk by default which =
I thought was a nice touch. Let me know if you want to come see the place w=
ith me on Saturday before I make a decision. I think having a second pair o=
f eyes would really help since I tend to get excited about things too quick=
ly. Also I finally finished that book you lent me last month and I actually=
loved the ending even though it was a bit bittersweet. We should grab dinn=
er soon and talk about it.

Oh and I finally tried that hiking trail you mentioned last week. The views=
were incredible even though I got lost for about twenty minutes somewhere =
around the halfway point. I met a guy on the trail who gave me directions a=
nd then we ended up talking for another half hour about local wildlife. He =
pointed out a red-tailed hawk circling overhead which I never would have no=
ticed on my own. I think I'm going to go back next weekend and bring a prop=
er map this time. Anyway let me know about Saturday. =

I finally took the plunge and organized my entire bookshelf by color last w=
eekend and honestly it looks so satisfying I keep walking past just to star=
e at it. The gradient from deep blues to bright yellows to soft pinks makes=
the whole room feel like a different space. My cat was very confused and k=
ept trying to knock the books off while I was sorting them. I also found a =
postcard from a friend tucked inside an old novel that I thought I had lost=
years ago so that was a nice surprise. On Sunday I tried making that roast=
ed vegetable and quinoa bowl recipe that my coworker recommended and it tur=
ned out pretty decent - I added extra lemon and a pinch of smoked paprika w=
hich gave it a nice kick. I think next time I'll throw in some chickpeas fo=
r more texture. Also I started listening to a new podcast about urban garde=
ning and balcony planters and now I'm seriously considering trying to grow =
tomatoes on my fire escape even though I have a track record of killing hou=
seplants. The host makes it sound so easy which is probably how I get seduc=
ed into these projects every time. Anyway I hope your week is off to a good=
start and that you're staying dry through all this rain we've been having.
